Privacy Policy
Last Updated: October 6, 2026
At MultiConverter (accessible at https://multiconverter.com), accessible from anywhere around the globe, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors. This Privacy Policy document outlines the types of information collected and recorded by MultiConverter and how we handle and protect that information in full compliance with global privacy regulations, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and Google AdSense publisher guidelines.
1. 100% Client-Side Local Document Processing
MultiConverter operates as a 100% client-side browser application. When you convert Word documents (DOCX), images (PNG, JPG, WebP), or PDF files using our website tools:
- All conversion logic and document processing are executed locally inside your web browser using WebAssembly and client-side JavaScript.
- No document files or file contents are ever uploaded to, transmitted to, or stored on our servers.
- Your uploaded files exist exclusively in your device's temporary browser memory while the page is open. Closing or refreshing the page immediately purges the session queue.
2. Google AdSense & Third-Party Advertising Cookies
MultiConverter uses Google AdSense to display advertisements to support the development and maintenance of our free web utilities. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to our website or other websites on the Internet.
- Google Advertising Cookies: Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to MultiConverter and/or other websites on the Internet.
- DART Cookie: The DoubleClick DART cookie is used by Google in the ads served on publisher websites displaying AdSense ads.
- Opting Out of Personalized Advertising: Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, users can opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info or Your Online Choices.
3. Log Files & Standard Web Server Analytics
MultiConverter follows a standard procedure of using log files generated by our hosting infrastructure. These files log visitors when they visit websites. The information collected by log files includes:
- Internet Protocol (IP) addresses
- Browser type and version
- Internet Service Provider (ISP)
- Date and time stamps
- Referring and exit pages
- Number of clicks
These log entries are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users' movement on the website, and gathering broad demographic information for infrastructure security and performance optimization.
4. Browser Local Storage & Technical Preferences
We do not use tracking cookies for our own internal operations. We use your browser's localStorage solely to save your local non-personal user preferences, such as your dark mode / light mode selection, so that your preferences persist across visits.
5. GDPR Data Protection Rights (European Economic Area & UK)
We want to ensure you are fully aware of all your data protection rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Every user is entitled to the following:
- The right to access: You have the right to request copies of your personal data.
- The right to rectification: You have the right to request that we correct any information you believe is inaccurate or incomplete.
- The right to erasure: You have the right to request that we erase your personal data under certain conditions.
- The right to restrict processing: You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data.
- The right to data portability: You have the right to request that we transfer the data we have collected to another organization, or directly to you.
Because MultiConverter does not store or process your documents or personal data on remote servers, no personal file data exists on our infrastructure for extraction or deletion.
6. CCPA / CPRA Privacy Rights (California Residents)
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California consumers have the right to:
- Request that a business disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal data collected about consumers.
- Request that a business delete any personal data about the consumer that a business has collected.
- Request that a business that sells or shares a consumer's personal data, not sell or share the consumer's personal data.
MultiConverter does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or uploaded document data to any third party.
7. Children's Information
Another part of our priority is adding protection for children while using the internet. MultiConverter does not knowingly collect any Personal Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13. If you think that your child provided this kind of information on our website, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately and we will do our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our records.
8. External Links & Security
Our website may contain links to external sites or third-party advertisements. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by us. Therefore, we strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of these websites.
